Sounds about right... I covered my short from 902.00 and took a long at 850.00 on the nose...

Bob, interesting how people react to an expected lop sided war.

Furthermore, corporate executives should be very quick to react in anticipation to the probable war. Therefore, I am keeping my equity position in cash waiting for my prices. I will continue to post here but I expect to have zero position in equities for a month or more.

I expect a quick end to the war, too. But not to the problems associated with it. Technology never saved other great nations of history, when their time came.
I don't believe now is necessarily the time, but a bunch of chest beating doesn't make me feel particularly good about doing that which I know must be done. Situations like this have to be entered into rationally. Not that I don't think we are doing this rationally...but one also has to consider the flip side.
Do most Arab nations know, and agree, with us? Do their people? Are we putting ourselves at risk for future terrorist attacks? How could/should we respond?

I'm not against the inevitable, I'm just hoping that full weight has been applied to make sure we don't slowly go down that slippery slope of declining power due to arrogance.
BTW, I support Bush, and I agree this war is necessary and winnable in a short period of time. But assymetrical actions, such as those dealing with al-Qaeda and other smaller groups, are very difficult to deal with, even with allied support.

Looks like the lemming effect didn't last
as long as I thought it would. I did pick
up some ORCL earlier in the day. Saw an
interesting article (can't remember where)
stating that IF there is a war, the big name
techs are the picks to get into. Specific
mention, ORCL, CSCO, and SEBL (why SEBL????).

I personally would add RFMD, which has come off
a (low relatively speaking) and JDSU (for the same
reason). I think they have a chance for a few points,
and then get the bleep out of JDSU and stick with RFMD
as long as NOK is heading upwards. I do own both JDSU
(4.00 - 5.00), and RFMD (8.00 ish).

BTW, I still don't like ORCL's TA.
Take Care!
