Sig, Please note that Joe Lieberman and Hillary are onboard. Body language speaks for itself. If Democrats are not to suffer the fate of the Labor party in Israel they will get onboard too after the Powell/UN session. Some things i noted in watching the speech follow: 1. Lieberman and Hillary giving SO's at all the right times 2. Lieberman giving the President a mini-hug at the end of the speech whispering "i am with you" in his ear. 3. Nancy Pelosi with a stupid grin, shaking her head and mimicking the president when he talked of taxes. Amateur hour with Pelosi. 4. Democrats inability to applaud for a ban on the obscene partial birth abortion proceedure.(i am pro choice) 5. Steely look in Colin Powells eyes during speech as well as his proximitiy to Rumsfeld. It seems they do get along. 6. Bush looked older and spoke better than ever. It seemed to me what he was saying is that he will be a throwback to Brokaws greatest generation. Those on the left praise those WW2 warriors but refuse to be led by them. Bush on the other hand has picked up the mantra and is challenging americans to do our duty as our parents and grandparents did theirs. 7. Post speech--Ted Kennedy is the only decent spokesman for the anti war position. He believes what he says and is too old to be doing it for political reasons. His objections are worth discussing. 8. Chinese American governor of washingtons painful to watch rebuttal.
