Hi Maurice, Thanks for the albeit obscure clarity on Act. As CNBC-Harball's Chris Matthews queried of the State of the Union speech, "wasn't a lot of that just malarkey?" **************** Re: I am not sure what the heck labels like left, right, Tory, conservative, liberal etc mean. I'm surprised that a man of your obvious erudition would have such a gap in your knowledge. There's a very good site that I'll recommend so that everyone can get on the same page w/r/t labelling: politicalcompass.org Taking the test is painless, should you choose to do so. Else you can skip merrily along to the matrix page which I think is a terrific descriptor of political inclinations. Just to let you know, I tested as a Left-Libertarian. A bit farther along on both scales than Mohandas Gandhi I'm proud to report. (Approximately where Tony Benn falls on the "Today" matrix.) I'm pegging you as being closer to Michael Portillo's ranking on the "Today" matrix than anyone else. Please let me know if I'm misunderestimating you. Ciao! -Ray
