T, US involvement in WWII had a profound impact. Without the US victory may not have been possible ( I include our wartime production) or if the allies ( ex US) had won it would have dragged on for a long time - possibly a negotiated peace. The British and Stalin had considered a negotiated peace. 80% of German combatants killed were killed by the Russians. I suppose many admire the US involvement in WWII because we gave so much to a war effort that was so far away from the continental US. mike
