John,
.
I figured that whatever Richard placed onto this thread's intro
would pass a "test of time" and i just looked at it, and it does
and needs not any edit of the 1996 intro :o)
The stock quote we all can see does not work on this Si page
and i tried to do a search for MAXAM as name and got error.
.
Enter name of security
Error fetching entries from database:

.
Maybe if Si did not spend the first 18 seconds putting up
those advertisments, the request would have been done,
but then if Si made it easier to obtain share values so that
they could be displayed from the Pink Sheets, it would help.
.
I went to the Maxam web site Richard provides in the info
and my old browser could not activate any click-able button
except the first one, not the Investor Info one that might display
a current quote. Its just my opinion, but the company web site
for Maxam should upfront display investor data like last share quote
and a link to the latest available company "health" like debt
and number of common shares out. Stuff like hidden problems
and dirt test results and "in the pipe-line" stuff is up to each investor
in a highly speculative play as Maxam is. Its of topic, but i am
always amazed by folks like marcos and Chatters and a few others
we all know of, that tell me of the absolute proof that a desert dirt play
is a scam because the past failures seem to them to entend
into the future. I just ignore that type of talk from those that
cannot seperate a desire to be proven correct in their past opinions
like telling us its a scam, and use as proof a look into the future
and seeing yesterday :o)
