That's part of what makes it fun to be an American, the ability to disagree with the most powerful man on earth right where he can see you, and everybody just shrugs their shoulders.

Exactly. It would be frightening if any democratically elected leader had a 100% approval. The Open Society depends on the constant competition of ideas. If one turns out to be wrong there's always another one to try.

I didn't consider his action dissent... it was simply discourtesy.

If he had simply not moved after the tax cut segment it would be different.

I enjoy watching the British Parliament occasionally as well. Do they have anything like the State of the Union address? I wonder what the protocol for that is?
