Yep, that's the idea. The boomers take one more bite at the apple.

See if you can think back to 1999 and remember the SI reaction to anyone who predicted Nasdaq 1500 back then. (Most) human brains do not readily internalize cycles - instead we project linear trends - hence:
1) In 1999, we had the end of the business cycle, a new paradigm and guaranteed 20+% market returns.
2) In 2002, we had an incipient and endlessly predicted Bust, to be followed inexorably by DAK's economic death spiral and Depression with gold to da moon.

2) in 2002 made about as much sense as 1) did in 1999.
