Hi G,
My reaction is to what I've seen in print, on the internet and on TV. It's not scientific and has no basis in statistics. I'm seeing and reading too many people who, with a wave of their hand, dismiss the current troubles as temporary. "The war will be short". "The second half will show significant improvement". "It's time to start dipping your toe in the water". "With everyone so bearish, it's time to buy". Etc...

It's simply my observation.

<<we need to ask WHOSE sentiment >>

........and how you judge sentiment.......Read some time ago that if a newsletter recommended any stock purchase at all - and whether they had any MARKET views at all -- II would rate them as "bullish".......

EDIT....P.S. Also read that II classifications of newsletter sentiment is very subjective, and that it's impossible to get a firm clear statement from them of how they go about it......Of course, I don't myself have any certifiable facts about this........would be interesting to know if anybody on SI has seen anything from II , in writing, as to how they go about this........
