REITS I hesitate to make specific recommendations because I have doesn't done as much research on these as I should have (even though I do own a couple). Healthcare and self-storage REITs seem to have been less sensitive to the economy, although they still face their own specific risks. Certain apartment and shopping mall REITS could be lower risk as well. I also have stayed away from Commercial and Hotel REITS because they seem fairly risky, and I haven't done enough homework on them to adequately sidestep the risks. MC
