I've seen that. The details apparently don't go away until a new tick is posted to the chart. At least that's the conclusion I reached.

Are you referring to the floating window (yellow) or the crosshair box?

Both can be turned off. With Cross hair box, you can turn it off, then view it only when you specifically want to by holding down the SHIFT key
