I had never heard of Mr. Manfredonia.

Either had I until today. Doesn't look like much has come from the publicity he got in Business Week, but, then again, late 1999 was right before Y2K and no one cared much back then for stock fraud. I'll say one thing, he certainly is persistent, although, as we know, that's not always a good thing (g).
