Re: You state, "...Hussein was very tidily bottled up in Mesopotamia..." and yet you decry the effects of sanctions on the Iraqi people. Methinks you are sucking and blowing at the same time.

Look, the way to control Hussein's WOMD programs would be most rationally achieved by punishing the Western corporations and governments that continue to provide war materiel to this day. I realize this is a naive hope since it is the very same arms merchants who profit from dropping ordnance on Iraqi targets that also prospers from illicit sales of materiel to Hussein's regime. And unfortunately for the sake of the planet's sanity, they also control the federal governments in the U.S. and the UK and the media which hides the whole game from the public.
