So? It's a valid talking point, and you obviously agree since you've answered it.

Don't you agree that the inspection process has been an abject failure so far? The Blix report speaks volumes--Saddam is simply playing games.

I favor the latter on the grounds that an invasion should be the last available option; not the first as the Bush rhetoric has it.


John, you know that we can't set there with our forces ready to go. And Saddam would never have taken us seriously if we had not set up the troops. We have to invade or retreat. It takes one hell of an effort to field the Army. It can't be done like a nintindo game.

I think you are getting in to the same corner that Friedman is in. You know we should invade. You just don't want to admit it.
