Invading and occupying Iraq won't change an iota this particular situation. If anything, a war of choice in the Mideast will only garner credibility to the Islamists' claim of American hegemony and domination in their homeland--all great marketing and recruiting tools for enlisting potential future terrorists to attack Americans and American interests. If I must choose between looking like a weak aggressor and strong aggressor, I choose a strong one. Remember what Osama said about people preferring a strong horse.
