It's amazing, absolutely amazing. Rightwing Republicans wanted Clinton impeached for lying about a sexual indiscretion. And the vehicle used for this was The Whitewater Investigation which produced a 1200-page report at great government expense and at great emotional expense to the American people.

Wanna have some fun?

Bring up that report on your computer, and do a word search on how many times "Whitewater got mentioned" in the report text? Barely at all!

But this, today, is little like polluted waters now well over the dam.

So the subject of this post is lying.

What I heard, first, when I listened to the radio version of Bush's speech, and, later, when I watched the retelevised version of Bush's speech--was Bush lying through his teeth, while pretending to be preacher-like in the process!

If his teleprompters had a truth monitor attached to them, those teleprompter panels would easily break; and, if there was a Pinnocio(sp?) monitor, Bush's nose, during more and more of his speech would have gotten longer ... and longer ... and longer, stopping only at the pointed conclusion.

That conclusion?

Clinton lying about sex is one thing; but Bush lying over the reasons or justifications for why America's sons and daughters of our military should march into the death curtain of war is absolutely and utterly dispicable, and, in my view, an impeachable offense. Do it, folks!
