<How many of New Zealand's fine soldiers are involved in the battle to oust Saddam>

Michael, I'm disappointed to say that none are. Though I hasten to add that NZ's SAS were in Afghanistan early on, up in the mountains, in direct confrontation with Osama's crowd. Te Mana [a frigate] left town on Tuesday to help catch Osama's crowd [and Taleban] by stopping vessels in the area. navy.mil.nz

Act's views on Iraq and yesterday's State of the Nation speech by Richard Prebble [Act is in parliament but has no power]http://www.act.org.nz/item.jsp?id=23625

NZ, by supporting the UN very strongly, is doing something about Iraq, but without military intervention, Saddam gives the fingers.

I think Helen Clark is very interested in a job [such as Secretary General] in the UN when she's finished being Prime Minister of NZ. She doesn't want to put either the USA or the UN offside with NZ [or her].

NZ's military services will undoubtedly be available to support the UN in Iraq, either as part of an invasian force, or occupation and restructuring force.
