Laz, There ain't nothing wrong with grits, and black eyes peas. They are good eatin, but chitlins are gross, and okra is way too slimy.

Are you talkin about that group that goes into a convenience store and orders an AruhCee Cola, and a moon pie??

Hehe. Well I thinks I muss got a liddle bit a suthnuh in my blood or somethin' because I be liking dat mess priddy dang good whenever I gets it.

Black-eyed peas ain' bad at all.

Chitlins can be alright, not bad at all, depending on where you are while they are being cooked. (grin)

One of the bess breakfasts I done ever had was a plate of fresh fried "brim" (freshwater panfish - bream), fresh from the water, with grits all slathered in butta. Mmmm MMM! Had that many years ago in the South Jawjia.

And fried okry? DANG! Dat mess is jess plain good. Whetha you live in the Nawth or the dang South.

So as far as I'm concerned, what's not fair is that you can't eat that mess too much without gettin' a dang heart attack.
