Westi,

I'm trying to recall an image of William Kristol as I read this piece. What comes to mind is the image of drool dripping off the rabid jaw of a cur. Is there a more despicable man in print? Oh, never mind....... I'll answer my own question. Why, it must be David Horrorwitz. Did you catch that lunatic on C-SPAN's Washington Journal this morning? Ay carumba, that one is certifiably insane:

c-span.org

Tune in to the webcast, it is the last hour of the program. Horowitz is "debating" with David Corn, the Nation Magazine's Washington editor. It will make your chin drop to watch this vicious man personify all the ugly truths about the right wing in America.

Salaams, Ray

...when it comes to dealing with tyrannical regimes like Iraq, Iran, and, yes, North Korea, the U.S. should seek transformation, not coexistence, as a primary aim of U.S. foreign policy.

How about China? Is it a case of "But the Chinese are too strong!"? (to paraphrase an expression from the British comedy series, "Yes, Prime Minister").

You can be sure that Dubya and his gang will negotiate with N. Korea and won't attack them. Because they have nukes... Guess what this does to global nuclear profileration? Will it slow it down? Or speed it up?
