Just because the Amish pass me in their buggies doesn't mean I drive slow.

Fred, an old retired fireman needed a ride home yesterday and I took him. He's 3/4 blind and half deaf and weighs 350 pounds, I don't mind helping him out but he sits down next to me today and his neighbor isn't there to give him his usual ride home. I don't mind helping the guy but 2 days in a row would make me his everyday ride home. I tried to be nice but he cost me all the conversation with the people I wanted to talk to.

Finally I made up a lie about being late and booked. Now I feel guilty but dang, he lives in an area where it's a 2 mile out of my way and drive a block and stop kind of traffic. Good place to get dented with snow on the streets and I don't feel comfortable driving in the area.
