practically "others" determine our course all the time

it's silly not to recognize it
of course it makes good rhetoric for the masses to ignore that
but I wouldn't expect anyone educated to fall for it

Of course you CAN turn it into a red herring bitch session - which you are apparently going to do, but that has nothing to do with what I was saying- just so you realize that.
