Al, <Think about the depth to which this is splitting the US and the world...and Bush campaigned on the premise of being a great unifier.>

It's obvious you think Bush is splitting the world because you disagree with him. Just like Susan Sarandon is acting like she's on the run from Big Brother just because she "dares" to disagree with him, too.

Think about the depth to which this is splitting the US and the world...and Bush campaigned on the premise of being a great unifier. Whatever perceived benefit comes from this hardline campaign is wasted on the malevolence it is creating at home and abroad.

That's what so amazing about all of this......I have never seen people so polarized in this country. D.Ray finds it hard to believe when he cites names of politicos or political journalists that I don't know.......but that's because I never have been political until now.

And I am amazed at how Bush plays the American public. If you read the transcript of his speech last nite, you would think he had provided more info re Saddam's WMD but most of it, if not all, has been known for years. Basically, there is no new info.

And then in his speech, he goes on about the environment and hydrogen cars suggesting that he is a friend of the environment while he is repealing environmental law after environment law. And suddenly he's all into fighting Aids in Africa after he just got done firing the guy who was into it. Plus, he doesn't talk in his speech about refusing to sign the Kyoto treaty or diverting housing funds for church organizations.....so much for the separation of church and state......no, he tries to keep that stuff as quiet as possible.

Its unfortunate that's its taken people so long to fully understand what the conservative revolution really means and how they will take whatever lawful means necessary to implement it. The good thing is that he's forcing people, including the DEMS, to coalesce and get organized.

And apparently in Europe, they too are becoming more ardent in their opposition. This AM, a European friend forwarded an email sent to him and his wife which is circulating a petition in two or three languages that will be submitted to the UN. It complains about our intent to invade Iraq. I was really surprised........I had no idea that their objections had gone this far. He wanted to know what I thought.

Unifier? I don't think so......he's become the great divider.
