Hi Bo:
When looking for stocks I look for good earnings or split announcements the day they happen.
Put them on a chart like this along with maybe 6 others I am looking at or already own, then shift the days back and forth.
siliconinvestor.com
Just made a play on MYL short time ago but it did not move up much on the split announcement so sold it
Lea had good earnings so I recently bgt that and its doing OK -looks like lots of potential but they never do quite as well as I expect so its for sale except I will leave profits in 10 or 20 shares for LT so those would be almost cost-free.
Yes, Dell is down so I bgt some at 24.5 and tried for 23.5 but was 30 cents too low a bid
Also have some lower bids in.
As I mentioned I had sold most everything so this is buying back time . I dont care what a company builds
or does but mostly I want it to have a good curve, a consistant move up, a solid reversal if it went down.
Beas is pretty volatile and tough to watch short term so I usually just buy the 2004 Leaps and stop worrying
Tsco goes up for a while then drops a bit with volatility because its small and not many pay attention to it
between the earnings announcements so is down a bit now and I buy some of that.
Tsco and Ali can be held LT until at least one more split each - if you can stand the volaltility.
I have to watch the Ali as since I sold all of it and will try to get some back on the way back up.
And Dell is still doing the outrageous things, like selling 64% more products into a decreasing market somewhere in Asia.
Each day I add a few stocks to look at and tomorrow APC will be one of those.
Regards
Sig

Two that got away from from us but worth a look
HAR and MSN
Be careful out there for a couple of weeks
I am short the QQQ but not enough
Would consider shorting the oils when the action starts in Iraq- if they dont blow up the fields
