>>>given the attack on the World Trade Center and the people in it and the planes, that is a stupid question<<<

Vitas, we're talking about Iraq, not Al Qaeda. Are you one of half of the Americans who mistakenly believe Iraqis were on those planes, or plotted the event? Bush said in his speech they captured the guy who plotted the event--he's Al Qaeda, not Iraqi.

>>>Saddam had his chance to cooperate in November and he did not cooperate<<<

Then why does the UN inspection team, which only in the past couple of weeks has gotten to full strength, want to continue with its mission? Why does, right now, 11 out of the 15 members of the UN Security Council want to continue with the inspections?

Besides, Bush and his bullypulpitists have lied and deceived the American public. The nuclear weapons charge, a key ingredient for his getting his congressional approval resolution, has been debunked as simply not true. So the nuclear threat isn't there. Even former Californian Republican congressman Bob "B1 Bomber" Dornan and former Florida Republican congression Joe Scaroborough agree Saddam has no nuclear potential (they just said this on MSNBC Hardball, about 10 minutes ago.)

Moreover, both the FBI and CIA agree there is no Al Quada link with Iraq.

Vitas, are you willing to be lied to and misdirected by your government officials? Or are you willing to take what they say as gospel?

>>>in war you never risk the lives of your own citizens haphazardly<<<

How many would die from both sides in a fullscale war? And is that important?

>>>we are going in<<<

A grave, grave mistake! Doing so would be one of the worst mistakes I've ever witnessed in my entire life. A greater mistake than Vietnam even. Vitas, please do think about this some more.

Vitas,

Re: given the attack on the World Trade Center and the people in it and the planes, that is a stupid question

You seem to be perfectly willing to disregard the fact that there is absolutely no link that has been proven that Iraq had anything whatsoever to do with the 9/11 tragedy.

You seem to be among the "Ready, Shoot, Aim" class of dunderheads.
