The Working Group on Financial Markets was all over the stock market today. They made sure the market didn’t collapse after Bush’s State of the Union speech. It was clear to me they were in there because the S&P futures were noticeably stronger than the DOW and DOG right after the opening big sell off. It was this futures market buying that eventually took the DOW and DOG higher. It stayed that way on each subsequent sell off.

Can’t see the stock market staying up here much longer. All we had today was a bounce off of an oversold condition.

The economic news continues to worsen all around
