In light of the fact that nobody can predict the future, I agree that it's not possible to know whether the US will invade Iraq. The question is whether the figures you keep citing accurately reflect objective reality vis-a-vis US troop movements. I admit that what we read on the Internet may not, in fact, be true, but I and others have posted articles from every major and many minor news source all over the world. We've got a couple hundred thousand troops there or on the way there, four carriers, and umpteen Sealift vessels. What we do with them remains to be seen, but they are there or headed there. Give it up. >>still no takers<< Are you running that show? If not, how do you know who is taking the bets?

Carl, You are sneaky ... an unsupported assertion, tsk, tsk. the President said that we would go for a 2nd UN resolution Let's see what he really said: In all these efforts, however, America's purpose is more than to follow a process -- it is to achieve a result: the end of terrible threats to the civilized world. All free nations have a stake in preventing sudden and catastrophic attacks. And we're asking them to join us, and many are doing so. Yet the course of this nation does not depend on the decisions of others. (Applause.) Whatever action is required, whenever action is necessary, I will defend the freedom and security of the American people. (Applause.)
