Arrogant, unread, naive, superficial ..... ..... pushy, clown-like. Am I describing the average American or Dubya? I have always maintained that local institutions are reflections of the communities. Maybe we get the kinds of presidents who are reflections of our personalities. Europeans are becoming disgusted with Dubya. He is getting cornered. I don't think he has the moxie to engage Iraq. Look at the way the North Koreans have called his bluff. All of these troops heading to the Gulf. Why? What an embarrassment when they are told to bring their high-powered toys back home. All this talk about a quick "war." What nonsense. It will either be a horrific surgical bombing strike or a much worse involvement than Vietnam. Pundits who talk about an occupation of Iraq are nuts. The U.S. can't even "pacify" that little outpost that calls itself Afghanistan. Where's Osama, anyway? This administration is pathetic. It's also an embarrassment. I'm amazed how few people with whom I talk are alarmed by the arrogant, unread, naive, superficial, pushy, and clown-like behavior of Dubya. "It takes one to know one." /john
