Who's talking about selling... I'm talking about giving [well, they're earning it really] stock instead of options... ie. they're theoretically the same thing.

One of the reasons for stock options usage IS because the company historically didn't have to treat them like stock, lets face it. They are nothing special vs stock.... as far as all the hyperbole in that article is concerned. The whole point is to get ownership in the hands of workers which is done by getting them equity..... very simple.
