Dan -

Go open Intenet Explorer, pull down the tools menu and select "internet options" Go to the "content" tab and click the "autocomplete" button. In the autocomplete settings check all three top level checkboxes.

Also look at the internet options "general" tab and make sure the "days to keep pages in history" is set to something other than zero. This is where recently accessed URLs are stored.
