Good idea John. As long as it's all freely chosen among consenting adults, without fraud or force, the free market democratic process is as good a way as any I can think of to value the stock options, employee contributions and whether the cost is worth it to shareholders.

I have no difficulty with Irwin Jacobs being a billionaire from the $30 billion in value. I'd say he contributed a good part of that value. The shareholders certainly didn't put in $30 billion.

Putting a value on creative genius is tough. Nobody twisted my arm. I don't feel deceived.
