Not hearsay. I just read four books on the subjects I'm posting about. And I pride myself in having a good BS detector. If the book doesn't back up its arguments with voluminous sources, I dont buy it. That said, not all truth has been printed yet, or proven. The "liberal media" of the 70's is past and gone. There are few muckraking reporters around who dare to expose corruption in our society. And even if they do the supposedly "liberal mainstream media" wont print it. For instance, it is a fact that 57,700 mostly minority voters were cut off the Florida voter rolls in 2000 by a GOP-linked consulting company working for Jeb Bush. They adnmitted later they made "mistakes". The Democratic Party didn't even try to publicize it. The Washington Post wouldn't touch it until 3 months later. The proof was there but just because the Jeb Bush offices denied it it wasn't printed. Totally proven and not denied by this company is the fact the Jebsters omitted 8000 such voters just because they had similar names to felons in GW's Texas, though there is no law in Florida which prohibits out-of-state felons from voting, and very few were actually felons. So if 1000 of those 8000 had voted, at the very least, most of whose only crime was having the same name as a Texas felon, Gore would be president now. But the real number was 57,700. This isn't fiction. It just isn't reported. Except in Europe and on the web. See gregpalast.com, the BBC reporter you'll see on Hardball and other shows. He does his homework and left-wing or not, he's credible. Some people hate him but he would not be on the BBC if he wasn't truthful. The WHite House HATES him. They'd assasinate him if they could. gg But the American Public still thinks Bush won the election. He didn't. He just cheated. And the majority of voters voted for Gore so why shouldn't we be pissed off? And why should we trust the Bushies? No reason to at all. They'll do anything to get elected. And they should be held accountable. Except for their out of court settlement with the NAACP they haven't been. Really tragic for our democracy. And scary.
