LOL! Not even President Clinton (President Jan, 1993 - Jan, 2001) agrees with you! On January 8, 1999 (6 years into his Presidency), President Clinton gave a speech to the Detroit Economic Club, where he said: "We also know now, with this last month, that this peacetime expansion is the longest economic expansion in peacetime in the history of the United States." Now, the economic expansion during the Reagan - Bush was 92 months long (7 years, 8 months). If President Clinton announced that he had the longest peacetime economic expansion, 6 years into his Presidency, when did the economic expansion really start?
