Kerry and McCain are the veterans rights leaders in America. I saw Kerry speak at the Citadel on Hardball and win over every Cadet in the room as he explained why he turned against the Vietnam War in the 70's after he got home. It was to save his fellow soldiers in arms for dying for a lost cause. Many Cadets gave him a standing ovation. There are many right-wing soldiers who will criticize Kerry but they cannot deny his moral integrity or courage. And few can deny that by 1972 the Vietnam War was a terrible mistake that needed ending. Even Nixon agreed at the time. In fact he ran on a promise to end the war. That's the only reason he won. Ending the war then was a very popular thing all acros the political spectrum. And Kerry kenw first-hand what a nightmare it was. But unlike Bush-Cheney he didn't run away from it, he volunteered and served as a combat leader very heroically. Bushies hate it that they have to stretch so far to find anything to criticize Kerry on. They would LOVE to have him in their party. He's the best of the best. And as I've said before, he may run with McCain. So much for being "too liberal" huh?
