OT My wife (a veteran teacher) is volunteering in a first grade class for a friend who is a new teacher. Her friend is very enthusiastic and has given nearly every child in the class a "class" job, i.e. class weather monitor, class calendar monitor etc. One day my wife came up to a little girl who was playing with another girl's hair in a gentle way and the little girl said, "I'm the class comforter". Cracked my wife up. BTW the wife says her special ed job, and this one are similar in that she still repeats the maxim, "start your sentence with a capital letter and end it with a period."
