the germans rather than having to deal with terrorists living in german jails or being deported to Israel for the kind of justice they deserved, believed that the right thing to do was to just let the terrorists leave german soil and move to the arab country of their choice.

in the end Israel hunted down each of the murderers and executed them.

of course, european aversion to the death penalty was one of the reasons used to let them escape.

this case, more than any other typifies how europe deals with terror problems on its soil, and shows what an utter failure this appeasement is in dealing with this kind of terror.
