JJ, I never argue with socialists or pacifists because i share their philosophies(in theory). Without folks who oppose the act of war itself, we will never be able to rid the world of this scourge. Without folks who cant look at economics as a zero sum game, we will always live in a dog eat dog world. However if nothing else i am a realist and in the world we live in neither pacifism or socialism will work. My goal is that in supporting just wars and robust capitalism, it will lead us closer to the objectives I seek. I said this in grad school hundreds of years ago back in the sixties and it created a useful debate. I say it hear today, because i really want folks to know what the source of my day to day views are. I particularly like chatting with you because i think philosophically we are more or less on the same page. Mike
