The opposition claims that well over 1000 US troops have been killed; the US admits just 40. Even assuming the opposition is greatly inflating its claims; hard to believe that just 40 US troops have been killed. For a government that lies about virtually everything; why not lie about the casualties as well. After all making the true figures public might cut support for the Iraq attack so dear to the hearts of Bush and his neo con handlers.
