This is a good analogy, but in no way has Bush "torn off his steering wheel." He is driving a tank, but there is no reason to change course. If there were, he would change course.

I don't believe it is relevant whether Bush would survive politically. He must do the right thing, like his father did.

Besides, I don't believe tanks have steering wheels. <g>

Someone said last year that Bush and Saddam are playing chicken, but Saddam has torn off his steering wheel. My reply is that Bush has torn off his steering wheel, too, but he's driving a tank.
