You dont understand why we need campaign finance reform, do you? Or how the S+L debacle and phony energy crisis were epi-centered in Texas. Political payoffs, my friend, HUGE ones, in exchange for licenses to steal and pollute. Enron was notorious, but Bush had and still has many Enrons. Read "The Dirty Truth" about Bush's energy-environmental record in Texas and you'll get the picture. I'm not saying these practices are unique to Bush, but he has raised them to a high art form. Tit for tat but always disguised and covered up. Why do you think Cheney refused to reveal his energy papers? The fix was in, from the phony energy crisis to the Florida voting scams. And the fix is still in. You just cannot see it because you dont want to. It will take a very strong man like John Kerry to break these chains on our democracy. Remember what Eisenhower told us before leaving office, "beware the military-industrial complex" because absolute power corrupts absolutely.
