The hydrogen car black hole is an easy one. Any funding will be matching funds for private sector companies. Those private sector companies will quickly prove it's a major dead-end: End of boondoggle.

But it SOUNDS good to the idiots who weak-mindedly take the enviro-whackos seriously once in a while.

Politics is an art. Bush should stay away from garbage like this-but you see him occasionally use it for a big score. Like the global warming fraud, the public needs the hydrogen scam debunked too. You have to spend a little of their own money on this stuff-then they get educated faster. In the meantime, remember that we most likely will be driving petroleum-powered cars two centuries from now. Only the John Kerry's-who would force us to buy oil from Saddam instead of using our own-will be done away with...
