That is scary.

Our house is a dutch colonial. The ice blocks that fall off our house are often about 6x3x4. They would instantly kill a person. Our children are not allowed to play anywhere near the house in this kind of weather. Good thing we have a LARGE back yard, where it is safe to play.
One night when we first lived in this house, when the ice fell, it shock the entire house, and woke me up. I honestly thought it was the furnace gonna blow up. I had the gas company here at 4:00a.m checking for gas leaks, and trying to find why we heard this big explosion!! Had a ridge vent put in all along the roof peak, that has helped with the problem, but not eliminated it.

Glad the ice missed you!!
