Yes gracie. An example was a position I took recently intending it to be a swing trade. I bought NEM @ 30. When the stock began to move down, I shorted an equal amount of shares @29.70. I could have sold the shares outright but I still believed that the stock would reach my upside target. The box limited my loss to .30 while the position was in place. When the stock reached 29 today, I decided to close my short position and leave the long in place(net gain .70 on the short). The stock is closing today around @29.60...That leaves me in a position of having purchased shares @30 the long position is .40 below what I bought it at but I am currently up .30 thanks to the box.

It doesn't always work out that way but very often does. Of course, I have to be pretty sure of the long or I just take my loss and run.
