message to Voltaire, who confirmed that gold has done well
but warns to be careful after the Iraq issue settles
---------------------------

Volty,
neither Iraq nor Islamic crude oil concerns will go away
Iraq is somewhere around #7 or #8 in gold importance
that is the media garbage nonsense klaptrap out there

1. shorterm Trez yield at 1.2% is below inflation
2. trade gap is approaching 6% of GDP
3. federal deficits are soon to breach $500B/year
4. European Bond yields are 2% higher
5. gold miners are covering their hedgebook (3.5 yrs production)
6. Arabs are directing their petrodollars toward Europe

these are more important
I expect a blip down after immediate war threat subsides
then gold will surprise the industry and media with continued rise
it will confuse the media to a great extent
they are already beginning to wonder what is going on
they have few answers, and confuse many people with their bullshit about gold and Iraq
but that is all they understand
maybe that is all you understand

you never comment on the other gold forces
the sentinel signal for gold to begin a new bull run since 1900 has been 3-mo Trez rates going negative on real rate
what does that have to do with Iraq?
the basis for gold has to do with failed Keynesian Monetarism, the debt collapse, and the imminent dollar crisis

gold is not signaling the return of inflation
it is signaling a world dollar crisis
