My reply was in direct response to your remark where you implied I know nothing about investing. Well, obviously I knew more than you did! And if that is "stupid", where does it place you?

From comstockfunds : "... the S&P 500 broke through the support level of 869 last Friday and seems headed to the prior low of 768. A line drawn through the prior lows of the major downtrend dating back to August 2000 extends to the 660-680 level." My feeling is that regardless of what antics the clowns in the White House manage to indulge in, the S&P is headed for another new low later this year. Factor in the end of the year recovery and we will be lucky if we end up around 750, i.e. down about 15% for the year...
