Clinton raised military budgets. Hardly gutted them.

Inflation adjusted spending dropped even before Clinton came in to office and the drop continued during Clinton's 2 terms.

Bush lied during the debates when he claimed one division wasn't ready for duty.

It had receieved lower readyness ratings then it was supposed to have if it was going to be deployed. Could it have faught well anyway? Probably but officially it wasn't ready for duty.

Well, fine. You tell me why Norman Schwartzkopf himself said this week on Chris Matthews' show that George W. Bush inherited a military that was literally "depleted" (his word) from eight years of being ignored.

I've only had these discussions with you today, but frankly, your arguments seem to have no basis in fact. Do you ever READ any news or anything?
