Until this month the Democrats ran Texas. And ran it down, as usual. Bush held them back from total disaster when he was governor. That should have convinced the left that they can't mess with him-but it didn't (heh, heh)...

est 35 billion deficit

Texas 2002 resident population est.: 21,779,893

est 12 billion deficit

and both border Mexico, an added strain.
