Pottruck's grant does seem to be problematic. He joined the company in 1998, and the price of the stock that year did not seem to get below 50.

I could guess and say that he was given options on 18,700 shares at 26 bucks a share or approximately half a million dollars to be a director, at the time. Paid in four years, which sounds reasonable at the time.

Four two-for-one stock splits later it becomes 1.60 and 300000 shares.

indeed he did but it seemed that he run out of ammunition.

intel.com

it does seems like a conflict of interests to be the president of schwab and director of intel at the same time.
