Tony. I appreciate your concern about gold valuation. I do not claim to be able to predict the future, but looking at the characteristics of gold markets, I would not short gold stocks. I am long because I think there is upside potential, and I recognize the potential for a downside. Shorting gold stocks is something I would put the the "extreme" risk category.

i do not think that the gold stocks have run up in any sort of manner like the i-bubble stocks did...there was a time you couldn't find a gold stock that cost 20 bucks, so, okay, newmont has fluttered around 30...this is a bubble at the top ? some of the gold stocks that went up 3 and 4 times were tremendously mis-priced at the bottom...and for the POG to move 70 bucks is about 23 %...i hardly think that is a frightening percentage wise move.

dumb comparison -- I laugh every time I hear someone say internet stock and gold miner in the same post. Dumb.
