We HAVE far more than we need. We have the Brits, Austrailia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Slovakia, and a couple others in Europe, we will have Canada and probably France, in the end. We have Kuwait, Qutar, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, and we'll have Egypt.

All you have is the US and Britain. The rest are providing token support and NO MONEY. The US will bear the full ++ cost of the war and its aftermath. The bribes under the table to get some of these countries to support us will add up to megabucks. It's mad cow policy not only because the death and destruction is avoidable but the cost will be very high too.

First, Germany and Russia should be in that grouping for different reasons. Since we knew Russia is automatically out for economic reasons, we should have worked hard on Germany. We did not. In fact, Bush and company went out of their way to snub the Germans.

Frankly, I'm not sure who else we might need.

And as for the rest of the list, let me tell you, we don't have Canada and we are not likely to get them particularly if the Brits begin to waiver and they are. Blair is in trouble back home.....anti war sentiment is growing dramatically among the people there.

Do you remember the post I made where a Labour Party member made some derogatory comments re Bush to a UK newspaper? That incident was the equivalent of Frist meeting with the WA Post and trashing Tony Blair. Talk about major insubordination.......its inconceivable that Frist would do such a thing but that's what was done to Blair by one of his own. It was a public flogging and it suggests his own party is in revolt.

Today, Blair told Bush he wants to extend the deadline for action til at least 14 February. He needs the time to shore up support in the UK. If the Brits pull back, that's all Canada needs to stay away and the Aussies may desert as well.

Even if Bush is able to get everyone in place by kicking and bribing them with goodies......this will be one very fragile coalition.
