your variant would require some kind of strengthening of "police forces" in many other countries

It is already happening, JJ. These countries you listed hate these Terrorists just as much as we do. Indonesia kept there "Head in the Sand" until the Bali blowup. Now they are hauling them in, and they are not as nice about it as we are. The ME countries have always been after them. The Egyptian Government loathes the "Muslim Brotherhood," and does things to them and their relatives I would not even discuss.

The countries that are tolerating, or actively harboring, Terrorists are seeing "The Predators in the Sky" and are either presently changing their ways, or soon will after we invade Iraq and they realize that we are willing to come after them.

The Muslim middle class in these countries do not want a "Mad Mullah" takeover and that is what these terrorists represent. It is all well and good to dance in the streets when Bin Ladin takes out the New York Trade Towers, but they are not going to support these fanatics taking over their country.

Sure there are a lot of problems to what we are doing, and sure, it is going to take time, and sure, we will make mistakes, but JJ, we will win in the end. I guarantee you that!

To those who can only see the sky falling, all I can say is, "Faint Heart never won fair Lady!"
