Fred: "The most basic of rules is to buy low and sell high. AMAT is low."

Yes, AMAT is low but it can go lower. I guess Morgan is thinking it can go lower but not down to his option price of $4.60?

They have about $5B in cash, no debt and are now trading at nearly 19.5B....the question is how low do we keep cascading down before the buffers like cash become obvious?

If there is any good news to be found, the Nas looks to turn into the black even with this disappointing news. We'll see if it does, and if it does, if it can last. I trust nothing nor anyone after the past three years in this market.

You could make the case that AMAT could go to historical lows of 1+ of price/book. Some (Fleckenstein) are forecasting $5 based on it. Seems extreme since AMAT will be best positioned for 300mm market than anyone in the semi-equipment sector.
